REPLACEMENT UPPER CROWNS

This young lady was kicked in the face by a cow, when she was a teenager and lost some front teeth. After many years of orthodontic treatment by a specialist orthodontist to move her other front teeth around, as well as placement of an implant by a specialist periodontist, she received her first set of crowns before she was 21 years old by another specialist periodontist. More than 10 years later, she now came to us requesting further cosmetic improvement. As part of a prosthodontic re-treatment plan, we replaced four normal crowns and one implant crown with the latest all-ceramic crowns  resulting in an improved smile and a very happy patient ! This case study shows that re-treatment of old crowns came provide an improved cosmetic result with further developments in crown materials.
